Peyton is 11 months old today! I can’t believe it. Next month is her birthday and I won’t be doing monthly updates on her anymore 😦 It’s so bittersweet to watch her grow. Bitter because I want her to stay a baby forever, but sweet because she is growing into her own little person. Did I say little person? I mean big person. I don’t mean her size. She has a strong personality!
This month she has been showing a bit more frustration. She gets frustrated when she can’t get exactly what she wants. Like I say every month, she is very determined and strong minded. At times, when I tell her no, she listens and moves on to something else. Other times, she growls at me LOL She’s extremely independent to the point where it kills me! Even if she falls down or gets upset, she only needs a small amount of reassurance and comfort and then she’s back to herself. She’s very secure and that is also bittersweet lol
She is still as friendly as can be to everyone! I’m beginning to think “separation anxiety” just isn’t part of her personality. Like I said, she seems very secure. I say that now and then within the next few months she’s gonna have a melt down if I leave and prove me wrong lmao So maybe I shouldn’t even say it anymore! She has done a lot of new things lately! She can point to our noses, mouths and now, eyes! If you ask her where her belly is, she will gladly show you 🙂 She LOVES to clap her hands. She is starting to play peek-a-boo on her own. She played peek-a-boo with a man next to us on the plane. FLIRT. She is getting a lot better with waving to say hello and goodbye. She can pull herself to standing but still has not stood on her own without holding onto something.
She did FANTASTIC on our Virginia trip. She really surprised us. The plane was a breeze. I was SO nervous about how she would be in that tight little space and it went as smooth as it possibly could have. She even slept most of the way home. She had so much fun exploring with us. I wish she could remember it all. We took amazing pictures in such beautiful places. We also got to spend time with my best friend Emily and Peyton’s best friend Amelia. It was SO nice to see them and I SO wish we lived closer so we can spend more time together. They were so cute and it was amazing to see our daughters play. Weird, but amazing lol We felt old. This was truly one of our favorite trips! I plan to start a travel book for her so she can look back at all the places she has been. We are planning another trip up to North Carolina within the next month but this time we may drive :O
