“The days are long but the years are short”. That has never meant more to me than it does now. In a way I feel like I hardly remember what life was like without having Peyton… but I also feel like it’s FLYING by. She is 10 months old! Double digit months! She is almost a YEAR old. HOW!?
Every month that passes by, I feel like she is a new baby. She started cruising around her pack’n’play. She wants to “go go go” so bad. I feel like I’ve been saying this every month but she is SO determined to do everything. She LOVES to stand, even though she can’t do it on her own quite yet. She is curious about so many things and still wants to put everything in her mouth. She loves to touch everyone’s face and she’s very observant. She now knows how to find our noses, mouths, and we are working on eyes. She has started babbling to herself while turning the pages of her books by herself. She also likes to examine her toys lol She turns them all around and upside down and looks at them at every angle. She really cracks us up with that. She has started to master the “fake cry” because she thinks she can get what she wants that way. Little does she know, we are on to her!
I started taking her to a music class this month! She loves it! I feel like it has been so good for the both of us! Daddy got to come a couple of times and he loves to go too. She has gotten to meet some little friends and I get some adult mommy time lol It’s hard to find like minded mommy’s out there but this group has been great so far. Before the babies start their class, we exchange ideas and advice and it’s interesting to learn new perspectives from other parents. There are no “sanctimommies” (if you don’t know what that is, google search and believe me, you’ll know one), no one judges each other and it’s a really nice environment. Peyton has a lot of fun and we are always excited to go every week. I plan to take her to other things like that around the city. It feels great to get out and have to be somewhere lol If you have any suggestions or if you bring your little one somewhere around town, feel free to let me know and maybe we will join you!
We had a nice Easter dinner with family yesterday. I’m happy that Peyton gets to spend a lot of time with her family and develop close relationships with them. That is so important to me because I was always close with my family too. I want her to be family oriented because she will quickly learn that, in most cases, family will always be there for her. She has been spending a lot more time with her cousin Nicky since she is able to actually play with him a little bit now! They love each other so much and I can’t wait for them to grow up together. Nicky’s dad is my cousin Nick and it’s like we have a second generation of ourselves lol We were always together and we always have each other’s back and I know they will be the same way.
