I am 29 weeks pregnant today! I know I say this every week but it is seriously flying by. This week has been such a blur. I don’t really remember much of this week at all lol I have been doing a lot of research on all the decisions Aaron and I will make on the big day. It’s getting so close and I want to make sure I have all the knowledge I need to make informed decisions. The ultimate goal is for Peyton to arrive happy and healthy 🙂
Fatigue has come back with a vengeance. I have been sleeping like CRAP lately. It’s hard to find a comfortable position in bed… plus getting up to pee a couple times a night. I had some cramping, back aches and pressure and decided to go get checked out. Of course everything was normal but if you haven’t figured it out already, I’m overly cautious about my little one 😉
I had my glucose test on Friday. I have heard horrible things about this appointment. “The worst part of pregnancy” and “The drink is absolutely disgusting” to name a few. I sympathize with those women… and maybe I’m crazy… but I thought it was a breeze lmao! When I was sitting there with the drink in my hand by the nurses station, another woman walked by me and said “I’m so sorry”… really? Ass. I took my first sip and thought it was delicious lmao. It just tasted like thick orange soda to me. I’ve been on an orange kick lately so maybe that helped but it truly wasn’t bad at all. Drinking it within 3 minutes kinda sucks because it is really sweet and it was 9:30 in the morning. I did feel a little yucky after but it didn’t last long at all. So, don’t let anyone’s bad experience make you anxious like it did for me. You could have a good experience like I did! I’m assuming I passed because they never called me so that is good too! The rest of the appointment went fine. The finger prick for the iron test was worse than the glucose test, which obviously wasn’t bad at all for me lol The midwife measured my belly and Peyton is measuring on the smaller side but completely normal at this point. They are guessing she will be a smaller baby because I’m small myself 🙂 I have heard of bigger babies being measured as “small” before so I guess we will just wait and see how accurate that is for Peyton. I have a feeling she will be a peanut though ❤
Peyton is about 16 inches tall and weighing almost 3 pounds! Yay! She has been moving around all over the place and having hiccups! She still has lots of weight to gain in the next few weeks and her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature.
